Superior design and technology

Authentic Grand Piano Style > Both the Metropolitan and Cosmopolitan digitals are placed in actual baby grand piano cabinets made of wood, creating a stylish fashion statement in your home.
Weighted Hammer Action Keyboard With The Feel Of A Grand Piano > The keyboard has a heavier action in the bass and lighter action as you play upward, providing a real grand piano feel. Select one of six touch controls (light, medium, heavy etc.) to suit the character of pieces or selected sounds.
Korg Sound > Kohler digital pianos all employ Korg’s AI2 Synthesis System for digital processing (tone generator, filters, amplifiers and effects units). Korg instruments are praised by professional musicians around the world and likewise the sound quality of Kohler digitals is exceptional.
Powerful-Sounding Speaker System > The cabinet’s bass reflex speaker system is designed to accurately convey the depth and spaciousness of an acoustic grand piano. 30cm, 25cm speakers and a ‘Bass Enhancer’ circuit ensure that Kohler digitals deliver deep, rich lows. 5cm tweeters are placed to produce crystal clear highs with superb presence.
Three Pedals For Maximum Expressive Power > The Kohlers support half-pedalling, a technique where the damper or soft pedals can be slightly depressed for a wide range of tonal possibilities. The function of the sostenuto pedal can be changed to one of twenty-eight functions such as rhythm start/stop, or fade in fade out, making your performances more polished.
Extensive Range Of Sounds That Only A Digital Piano Can Provide > Kohler digitals are furnished with 332 sounds, including 19 different pianos! Browse a range of electric pianos, organs, strings, guitars, brass, flutes/saxes, bass, percussion and synthesizer sounds. The possibilities do not end there. Download extra sounds from the internet, or connect MIDI equipment to expand the instrument options.
Rhythms > There are 152 set rhythms in 8 style groups, 8/16 Beat, Dance, Latin, Ballroom, Traditional, Jazz/Funk, R&B/Rock and World. In addition, 64 user rhythm buttons can be used to create custom rhythms, or save favourite beats from another source. The Kohlers also contain 676 percussion instruments, assigned to notes on the keyboard in banks such as Orchestra, Arabian, SFX, Techno and Rock.
Create Accomplished Performances > Frequently used keyboard or panel settings can be saved in fifteen registration buttons in Internal Memory. Store these banks of registrations on disk for instant recall when desired.
Transport Yourself Into A Concert Hall Atmosphere > Thirteen different types of reverb create the illusion that you are playing in different acoustical spaces, such as a Concert Hall, Large Room, Live Stage and more. Or use one of the twenty-four Chorus Effects to create a sensation of rich spaciousness, or distortion to give a Rock ‘n’ Roll impression.
Vocalise Your Music > Plug in a microphone and use the fantastic sound system to amplify your voice. Perfect for piano lounge artists and entertainers.
Karaoke > People at home can also enjoy singing using karaoke MIDI files. The piano will play by itself and lyrics will move across the LCD screen. Sound like a professional using the eleven built-in mic effects, such as garage reverb, arena reverb, vibrato and more.
Effortless Operation > Some digital pianos have complicated screens that almost require a licence to drive them! However the Kohler digitals’ simple touch-screen is designed so less time is spent reading the manual and more time is devoted to playing and enjoying music.
Secret Cover > The key cover can be used to hide the digital control panel. Great for restaurants and on occasions when the effect of an acoustic grand piano is desired.
Multi-Track Recording > This will appeal to performers and entertainers who wish to create impressive backing tracks. Up to eight different layers can be recorded to create a full sound. The volume of individual parts and sounds can be adjusted with the Mixer Function.
MIDI File Song Editing > Reduce the volume or delete parts in Standard MIDI files. This is fantastic for vocalists wishing to improvise melody lines, or pianists wanting to play just parts of downloaded songs.
Expansion Possibilities >
  • Connect the piano to a computer or audio equipment to record
  • Link into a surround sound system to really impress!
  • Use the piano’s speakers to ramp up the sound of smaller audio devices, such as CD players
  • Connect MIDI compatible equipment such as keyboards, synthesizers, sequencers, rhythm machines etc to increase the sound and drum options
